Very impressive result, 20.76 at 15 WOW.
Will he still be able to complete in 4 years time?

studly.
you would think so, it is about the big shot at the end of the day, but I am sure he can throw 17m now with it.
what makes it awesome is his size, not the typical 6'6, 250lb "kid" we are seeing or hearing about now a-days
will be interesting to watch.

In men's throws the tendency really is that good-at-young guys do not make it to the top later. I really hope that he does not lose his feel when he starts to build up strenth. However, all 22m throwers are big, size still matters.

yeah but Mike carter was the ultimate shot prodigy and he has a great senior career before he packed up throwing while still a student to play american football (not real football LOL)And udo Beyer, a 17 year old prodigy throwing the 16lb 19.65m!! so some of the prodigy became senior superstars

strong-boy, nesterenko is worht shit now. Once the results came, he felt like a huge star and went into conflict with his trainer. hope he will get back on his track. And buy the way, why didn't this page mention, that lithuanian Gudzius is the new world champion??? and Nesterenko only 4th????

i know that Nesterenko isn't in good shape anymore, but he threw the 2 kg discus in youth class first year near 63 m and second year about 65.50 m. 62.50 is WC and OG b-qual.standard and 64.50 is a-standard. too bad that the pole vault WR holder(i dont remember the name), who works in the ukrainian athletics federation and in the iaaf, didn t allowed him to compete at that time. i saw when he threw in Tallinn his PB 65.50, all his thows were 64-65+ m, just some were litle bit out of sector or foul. who the f.ck he(Bubka) thinks he is? why the f.ck he has allowed to say who can compete in the OG and who not? he f.ckin ruined Nesterenko's challange to compete in OG. and look now, Nesterenko isn t so good any more and who know s who many years it takes hin to throw WCS and OG standards again? maybe 1-2 years or even 3-4. Bubka should watch what he says. there have been some other u 18 athtletes who have allowed to competed in WCs, OC and other big competisions. Nesterenko was 17 back then. and i know that Gudzius won WJC and has also very good result 61.85 2kg discus almost EC qual.standard.

well i don't think that it's bubkas fault that nesterenko is out of shape. as I heared his trainer couldt cope with him. nesterenko felt, that he's better thant him and decided to change his trainer. so now we see the results of feeling a huge star

I agree with Vyc it is shocking that Nesterenko cant be bothered to train just because the rules dont suit him.
He had all the genetic gifts needed to throw far and it is a disgrace that he has wasted them.
He could have been a pro athlete making millions!!!

ah sure maybe he will get back into it, remember he's only a young fella! how were we when we were teenagers? i was daft then LOL

Leo, he may get back into it but I doubt he will ever break the WR now.
Even with Nesterenko's incredible genetic gifts you have to have the driver to get off your ar5e and go the hard work.
He has wasted his last two years if what has been said here is to be believed so I dont see why he would have a change of heart now
