Apak won a high quality competition with a throw of 75.61m while his teammate Nevin Yanit took the 100 m Hurdles clocking a legal 13.21. In front of a large crowd, the sizeable Romanian contingent took a number of the spoils with Adelina Gavrila showing serious potential when winning the Triple Jump in a windy 14.26 (+2.6). Angela Morosanu clocked 56.31 to win the 400 m Hurdles and Liliana Popescu was a shade outside two minutes when winn ing the 800m in 2:01.96. Romania also provided the surprise winner of the 100m as Florin Suciu emerged the fastest of the three races with a windy 10.39 (+3.0). There was also an impressive win for Slovenian record holder Damjan Zlatnar, who completely dominated the 110mH winning in a legal 13.71. Results
