Robert Harting - "I am happy to win at home. The crowd helped me a lot and I managed to succeed on the last attempt. I owe the last meter of my sixth attempt to the audience."

Piotr Malachowski - "It is 50/50 - I am happy about the national record but really disapointed about the ending of the competition. Robert was better today. I am also happy that I showed that I am the first class athlete on international level and that they should count with me"

Gerd Kanter - "I had a really bad day. Everything was ok with the warm-up but it was not me on the stadium. The first throws are usually safety throws, but then I failed to add up. I had a couple of good technical throws but no power on the legs. It was like a 2 group competition. Harting and Malachowski fighting for the gold and I and Alekna for the bronze. I won the B final"
